ARTICLE ON ACTION RESEARCH

TOPIC : lack of interaction and lack of concentration among students.

Introduction 

Action research is a disciplined process of inquiry conducted by and for those taking the action. Educational action research can be engaged in by a single teacher, by a group of colleagues who share an interest in a common problem,or by the entire faculty of the school.

    During 4 months induction I understood that students are not interacting well, they have not a good concentration power. This affected after covid 19 pandemic period, students were not aware of learning, they don't concentrate on teachers. This study focusing on lack of interactions and lack of concentration among students in the class room.

Aim of the study

The aim of the study focuses on the lack of interaction and lack of concentration in students in the class room.

Objectives 

1. To identify the reason of lack of interaction in class room .

2. To identify the lack of concentration in class room

3. To help the students to overcome the problems.

Content

During my school internship, I taught the subject business studies.I have give notes, I checked the note at week ends. And conducted weekly exams after each chapter, by days passing, I noticed that students have lack of interactions and lack of concentration, they were not answerable while asking questions. 

Causes of the problem

1.Lack of interest in learning

2.Lack of health problems of students.

3.Lack of academic goals.

4.Family problems.

Design for the study

The data for the reasearch was conducted among the students through the pre test and post test conducted in the class room. Later action programme were implemented and after a post test was conducted to analyse the progress of betterment of students by checking their learning habits again. The proper remedial measures helped to tackle the problem a lot. They show improvement a lot . 

Analysis and findings

Due to the COVID-19 situation , the traditional classroom learning has shifted to the online classroom , students were attached with this system, and after the pandemic period is over , school restarts traditional class room learning but even though students were not attached with traditional clases they prefer online classes , due this the students can' t make concentration on classes, and there were no proper interaction during classes .

Conclusion

The drastic changes in the educational field created many problems in the educational field, the inability of students to adapt to new platforms causes many problems and after came back it create so many problems in behaviour of  students. As an upcoming teacher, this study helped me to diagnose students problems and solve them for their betterment.
